Why you may choose either Acetal Copolymer and Dupont Delrin in Sheet or Plate and Round Rod

Homopolymer Acetal or Delrin is the best plastic for turning on a CNC lathe lathe. It is pretty easy to turn, but it does require slow speeds. I have used this material to make Scottish small pipes chanters. I have ordered numerous items from a plastic shop in Anaheim. The small parts always ship quickly and everything has been well packed. I have never had an issue with an order.
Between the Delrin and POM-C rods, both materials are exceptionally tough and easily machinable, and they have very comparable physical properties. They appear similar, but in practical uses there are a few differences that may make one preferable than the other. It also depends on your application. As with any plastic materials, make sure to check the typical properties data sheet for the desired properties you may need for your application.
Our Acetal Sheet is definitely our best material for machining,giving an great finish both on manual and CNC Machines. Its got a very low moisture absorption making it the usual grade for food contact and where the dimensional stability is critical.
